POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
Arterial hypertension
A daily dosage of 50-100mg once daily
Angina Pectoris, arrhythmia, secondary prevention of infarct
A daily dosage of 100mg or divided into two dosages
Patients with renal insufficiency
In cases of kidney insufficiency, the dosage of atenolol should be adapted to the clearance of creatinine.
Clearance of creatinine
From 35ml/min/1,73m2
From 15-35 ml/min/1.73m2
Up to 15ml/min/1.73m2
Maximal daily dosage
100 mg
50 mg daily or 100mgn every 2nd day
50 mg every 2nd day or 100 mg every 4th day
Patients at haemodialysis, should be administered 50 mg of atenolol after every dialysis performance under the doctor’s control in the health institution. This is for the reason that a significant fall of the blood pressure might appear.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
– Heart blocking of II or III degree; – Cardiogenic shock; – Presensitivity on the medicine. |
